My Adventure So Far !!

Well, it has been more then a month since I landed in England! By now the jet lag has disappeared completely. I have my hot cup of tea next to me and I am ready to blog about my recent adventures.
Let's see what I have been up to in the past month and a half.

January 11th
What an adventurous day. I decided to join some other studying abroad students from America. The day involved various places: Camden Market &  London. I must say Camden Market was an adventure for another day because there were so many shops!

January 26th
Another thing to check off my bucket list: celebrating my 21st birthday in England!! This included going to two pubs (O'Neills & Spring Grove) that night with Michelle and Kelsey.

January 31st
Experienced my first train delay. Went to Baker Street to the Beatles shop and decided for a long time what to buy (everything in the store was temping). Even more temping was the Sherlock Holmes Museum since it is right next door!! Later that day I went to Covent Garden to a pub called the Lamb & Flag for a great meal. Then went back to Waterloo Station to wait for Holly & Kelsey. Our magical night began with dinner in Central London and then we were off to see the play Mojo at the Harold Painter Theater with two other people! The play was starring my favorite actor Ben Whishaw as Baby. Another well known actor within the cast was Rupert Grint as Sweets. He was making his stage debut. Over all the play was superb.

February 1st
Gong Hey Fat Choy! (Happy New Year!) That is how one spells "Happy New Year" in Chinese. I decided to join Misha and Andi in Trafalgar Square for a Chinese New Year celebration that involved watching a show that displayed acts from Beijing for 6 hours. Afterwards we had a late dinner in Chinatown and walked around Chinatown for a little while. While walking we saw some drummers outside a bar performing modern day songs that sounded great. We decided to kill time at Waterloo station. While walking around we happened to walk by a film crew and thought nothing of it. Then we got down to the main level and saw another film crew, we ask a crew member what was going on and he said that the new Simon Pegg movie was currently being filmed. Once he said that our mouths dropped. We decided to miss our train to see Simon Pegg act. That was the best moment so far on this 5 month adventure.

What a great adventure so far. Well, I guess it's time for another cuppa. Cheerio!

Oh, one odd thing I discovered sometime last month was an American Food Store in London.
